Probably missing something simple here but - I have just added a new POP3 account to my Outlook 2000 and by naming it with a "1-new account ", it comes to the top of a list of accounts in the internet accounts box. I have also made this new account my default account.

However, when I look at the order that Outlook logs on and off accounts for mail delivery, it is still at the bottom of the list and is checked last - (order as shown in the drop down box "send/receive ")

Short of deleting all my accounts and making new ones in my preferred order, does anyone know how to change the account order? The sort order box only works for directory service accounts, not POP3 accounts.

    Thanks,

    Rob

Aha! I finally figured it out...it checks them the same way it lists them...in alphabetical order.

So, just change the name of the account you want to check first to something that will appear at the top of the list in the Accounts window and you should be good to go.
