I have recently upgraded both of my computers to Windows 7 and have installed office 2007 and set Outlook as my default email client. I am having an issue with sent messages hanging in the outbox and do not know if they are being sent or not unless I contact the recipeients and ask them. I am using BCC to address forwards since I really don't want to put everyones name out there to have them inadvertently added to someone elses address book. Things seem to work okay if I am just sending it to one person using the TO in the new or forward email screen. I would really prefer to use Outlook as my email instead of going to a 3rd party web based email since I use all of the other Outlook features and like to have everything in one place and at my fingertips. Hope someone has ideas for a resolution!:):)

The 2 most common reasons I have come across for this problem are:

    1. Outlook has not been configured to send messages immediately.

    2. One or more addresses in a To: or BCC: field are bad. This often happens when importing address books in csv format. A comma in place of a period, a comma at end of address, etc. A single bad address will prevent the message from being sent.

Having a 5 gig file attachment (or just a really large file) will generally do no good either.
