It depends on what you mean by: recentley refreshed my account on windows xp home and re created a new account...Please give details on what you did.

Outlook stores its info in pst files located:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

i went into user accounts in cp and deleted my account, i then created a new xp account for me, i agree with you that the path u gave is correct but it now contains only the new data created by my new account, i need to find out what happened to the old file it has all my calender on it and my contacts. i suspect that this is now lost

If you answered YES to the question if XP should delete the files associated with the account you wanted to delete, they will have been deleted....
