Outlook 2007 and Windows 7 HP

    Hi

    Having problems when clicking a link in an email message. I get the following :- "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your sysem Administrator" I have searche the options for outlook but am getting no where. Please Help:)

    Although this refers to IE7 it may well be valid for IE8 too ....

    I had this problem with Office Outlook 2007 ( running Vista) and eventually found that at some time had installed Google Chrome , then uninstalled it - but a number of file termination in Registry had been changed from .htm to .chrome. Changing them back solved the problem completely. If you can find your way to my questions about this - on this site within the last month - you will find more detail of where to go to find the right places in Registry . Sorry I can't point you to the exact spot - I have difficult finding anything on this site - can't find how to start a new thread at the moment - but that's another story.
