Just a question for the experts in case they know (since Google didn't find me anything).

You know how Outlook has that built in "Detect and Repair" option? Question - can it repair a corrupt user profile? I know it's designed to restore registry keys and missing/corrupt files, but how about profiles?

Reason I am asking is we use Outlook on a Terminal Server and I know my profile is corrupt. I have used Detect and Repair on a regular desktop many times over the years to repair my profile and it has always worked. The option for Detect and Repair has been disabled by the admins on TS. I am trying to convince them that it WILL repair profiles but they say no.

Are they right? Is there anywhere I can point them to prove them wrong? I have had the same profile/settings for over 3 years and yes, I know I could just re-create it from scratch but I REALLY REALLY REALLY don't want to do that and loose ALL the settings I have (signature, autofill email addresses, and all those little settings in outlook that have taken me forever to get "just right ").

    Thanks!
