    Hi All,

Outlook 2003 and I've just changed my POP3 e-mail provider (they are in the US, I'm in the UK - not sure if this makes a difference?!) and Outlook cannot clear the Outbox for larger files (eg 2MB +). It keeps trying to send them but not moving from Outbox to Sent. The recpient is actually receiving the e-mail, 5 or 6 times!

Outlook was perfect with the old e-mail provider.

I really want to stick with the new provider as I have a "better" address. What should I be looking at please? Many thanks in advance!

    Cheers,

    Steve

Delete the mail out of the Outbox and then go to the ISP's web site and see what limit they have.

Thanks for replying Steve. I've been to the "Help" section of their website:

What is the size limit for email messages?
There is currently at 10MB size limit for all email messages and attachments.

What is the server storage size limit?
A standard POP email account comes with 100MB of server storage space.

    Surely this is sufficient?

Feel like I'm talking to myself:eek:

You still need to zap the mail in your outbox since the other person has gotten more then enough of them...Then if you're bold and brave - create a new mail and send it to see what happens.

I can assure you that you're not talking to yourself......:)

I have zapped / deleted / whatever you want to call it all e-mails from the Outbox so that these poor guys don't get hammered with any more e-mails. This was the first thing I did before even registering on this site!

This isn't a one off.........it happens whenever i try to send "big" files. Smaller ones (eg text only ones of 11KB) send OK and only once.

Feel like I'm talking to myself

Could it be that approx 80 e-mail recipients is simply too much for the e-mail provider to handle in one go?

If the mail is getting stuck with 80 addresses in the inbox then yep...It's very possible your ISP has a limit and might contact you about Not spamming anymore:eek:

I think many ISP's have a limit of 24 max addresses in one out going mail.
