Outlook 2003 - Attachment problem

    Hi,

    I am running Exchange 2003 on a domain server and Outlook 2003 on the workstation (20 of them). Only one of the workstations has a problem with attachments.

    The problem is when creating a new email and attaching a word or excel document, when trying to open the document before sending the email it takes a couple of minutes for the attachment to open. This does not happen when opening an attachment when receiving an email.

    Does the same problem happen when you start Outlook in safe mode? If not, it may be that an add-on is interfering.

    Another thing to check is to clean your Temporary Internet Files.

    Have a look at this article: How to troubleshoot performance issues in Outlook 2007 (I know yours is 2003, but most advice will also apply to your version).
