A FEW DAYS AGO, MY EMAILS WERE GETTING STUCK IN MY OUTBOX AND IT APPEARED AS THOUGH THEY WERE NOT BEING SENT...SO, AFTER SEVERAL RESTARTS AND DETECT AND REPAIRS, I DECIDED TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL.

THIS DID NOT FIX THE ISSUES, OUTLOOK WAS ACTUALLY PULLING UP ALL MY SAME SETTINGS AND EVERYTHING. IT WAS AS IF THE PROGRAM WAS NEVER UNINSTALLED.

I RAN AND RERAN A FEW VIRUS SCANS AND THERE WAS A VIRUS, BUT WAS REMOVED EASILY. I REINSTALLED AGAIN, AND I WAS ABLE TO SETUP OUTLOOK AS NEW, BUT NOW WHEN I CLICK SEND AND RECEIVE IT SAYS OPERATION FAILED.

I'M PRETTY COMPUTER SAAVY AND THIS HAS REALLY KILLED MY PRODUCTIVITY WITH WORK...PLEASE HELP!!!

    THANKS!

Welcome to the boards. Please take your CAP LOCK off. This is like shouting on message boards and chat rooms as well. I know that you aren't. Did you set up your Account corectly? That is what it sounds like. You have the wrong POP and SMTP settings.

Did the stuck mail have attachments? If so, how large were the files?

WHat size is your .pst file? When it reaches the max size of 2 gigs, it'll cause all sorts of issues?

I can now send and receive...it must have been the size of the file...but now I can't access my contacts. it says: The address list could not be displayed. the contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened: it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions. for information how to remove this folder from the outlook address book, see microsoft outlook help.

    ???

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks!
