When a user on our network attempts to reply to an email the distant end (over 200 users) see the email as being completely blank. This happens only when the emails are resent and not when the information is copied and pasted into another email. I attempted a detect and repair on the system to no avail. I was hoping that someone out there had some experience with this very frustrating problem.

    Thanks In Advance,
    Rico
    :)

    Welcome to the board...

While I've had no personal experience with this I know more information would be helpful.

Are you using Microsoft Exchange? Version? Other Program?

Do you use a program sharing system like Citrix?

Do you include the original message in a reply?

Thanks for the kind welcoming :-D

Yes Microsoft Exchange is being used and the version is 5.5.

    Citrix is not being used.

Yes we are trying to include the original message in the reply but just get nothing blank email all the way across from the subject to the recipients to the complete body. We can view the email just fine when we recieve a reply. It just goes blank whenever the user attempts to reply back forcing them to recopy it all to another email.

    :D

Thanks again for the quick reply

I had a problem recently where the Out of Office Assistant wouldn't work. It would open up and allow you to put in your message and activate it but it never sent the message when an email was received.

I ended up having to delete the account and start over for that person. If you decide to try this route make sure you export all email that you want to keep, the same with contacts and calendars. After the account is rebuilt you can import everything back into Outlook.

I don't know if this would work for you or not. I also don't know how much of a hassle it would be for you. If we weren't using Citrix it would take just a few minutes here, Citrix throws in a whole new set of problems with rebuilding an account.

I'm sure someone will come along that knows more about this sort of thing than myself. The people on this board are amazing. So if this isn't an option for you then just hang in there and someone else will be along to help.

Although there is a good possibility that this route would work I would really like to use it as a last resort due to the simple fact that the email account is about 1GB and recieves more or less a constant stream of emails. Why oh why did it have to die now? And why did I get assigned to fix it? :D No worries I'm confident the community has an answer to aid me. Thanks for your attemts at helping me Kevin. I appreciate it very much.
