I send and receive two kinds of emails, ones I don't want to keep and ones I do. Deleting received emails I want to glance at and bin is easy - shift+delete does that.

I generally reply to emails I want to keep and usually drag and drop the "replied to" email from Sent items to an appropriate folder
and delete the one in Inbox so that the original message is saved inclusive of my reply.

Outlook is set to keep a copy of all sent emails in Sent Items but there are some I don't want to keep and would rather bin automatically. Is there a way to choose for each email at the time it is sent whether to keep or bin?

Is there a way to select for each sent email separately the folder for the sent item to be saved in rather than just in Sent Items?

I know that one can have a toolbar button to copy an item to a folder but that doesn't record the date and time it was sent so orders those items differently from time-stamped sent items making them harder to find again.

    Thanks.

Thanks, however I'm not sure that that will let me decide item by item what to do. I'll try it though.
