   When someone sends me a jpg in an email and I double-click it, currently that image opens in Gimp, which is too slow just for a preview. Where are the settings located for me to change which application opens attachments?

   Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types.
   
   Find JPE, JPEG & JPG. Click the Change button & change which application should be used to open it. Windows default = Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
