I have two computers, both running xp and ol2002. I copy my data from one and then copy to the other. When I do that and try to send an email, I click the "to" button and get a message saying that the "address list cannot be displayed. The contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened: it may have been moved or deleted or you do not have permissions.
I tried importing the data instead of copying, but that did no good. I found a suggestion by Hulka to make sure all the windows on the address book, tools, options page said contacts, but that didn't work either. Please help.

The Contacts folder is probably corrupt. Remove it using Tools > E-Mail Accounts > View or change existing directories... > Outlook Address Book > Change.

There is an option to show the Contacts folder as an address book by right-clicking the Contacts folder > Properties > Outlook Address Book.
