Outlook 2000 won't open

Whenever I try to open outlook, the slash screen comes up but then it freezes and says it isn't responding. I found another post here that was along these lines but none of the fixes worked.

The problem started when I installed adobe acrobat and opened an internet fax through outlook. Adobe said the file was corrupt and wouldn't open. After I closed outlook the trouble began.

I did a system restore and the problem didn't go away.

I hope someone can help because Mr. Gates won't answer his phone on the weekends.
