    SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to send an e-mail message in Outlook 2002, you may receive the following error message:

A TCP/IP error occurred while trying to send data to the server
    Account: 'AccountName'
    SMTP Server: 'ServerName'
    Error Number: 0x800ccc13
You may be able to send mail in Microsoft Outlook Express without error.
    CAUSE
This behavior may occur if the versions of Outlook Express and Microsoft Internet Explorer are not the same. Outlook 2002 relies on several files that Outlook Express installs and uses.
    RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, either upgrade to the most recent version of Outlook Express and Internet Explorer, or install the version of Outlook Express that matches the version of Internet Explorer that is installed on your computer

    SYMPTOMS
In Outlook, if you attempt to send a message that contains file attachments, the message may remain in the Outbox even though you click Send/Receive.

In Outlook Express, if you attempt to send a message that contains file attachments, you may receive the following error message:

    Error 0x800ccc13
    Socket write error
    CAUSE
This behavior can be caused by an Internet filtering program, for example, Net Nanny.
    RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, reconfigure the Internet filtering program to allow attachments. If that is not possible, either deactivate or remove the filtering program.

    ==================
You got something in your "Outlook" outbox that could fall somewhere in between the two links up above?

Note the error states while trying to send. Could be wrong but I take that to mean a send problem not a recieve problem. Should be easy enough to check out. If you got things in your outbox ready to send, move them and see if problem remains.

Thank you very, very much Ann for the long and in detail explanation. I am not trying to send mail even though I'm clicking the "Send/Receive Mail" at the Toolbar. When I do click the send/receive it shows "beginning to load 1 of 24 messages" than it trys to do it but stops itself with that error. I did update Outlook Express from OE5 to OE6, the same as my version of IE6.01. It did'nt work Ann. It still won't receive any mail. I just tried to SEND an e-mail with my Outlook and it worked, it just CAN'T receive any mail :( Stumped & Polish also ;)
    Please Help..Thanks!!
    ~~Paul~~
PS. I'm using Win98se if this helps any!
