    Hello:

I am a support engineer for a company with a large amount of computers. We have a little problem wth outlook 2000 setups.
To install outlook 2000 we connect to a network drive and install outlook from there, it all works fine. We then disconnect the network drive so the users cannot get to the software installation files.

The problem is now, when someone logs onto a computer for the first time and tries to run office or outlook, the outlook setup file runs itself (I suspect to make some small changes to the configuration) but then stops saying it cannot find the file 'data1.msi', to resolve this probelm we have to re-connect the network drive and point it to where the install files are. This system works fine, but the problem is it happens every thime a new user logs onto a computer they have not used before! It rapidly gets beyond a joke have to basically install outlook for every user on every machine. It is an unworkable situation.

Is there anyway to stop this strange behaviour of outlook always wishing to use the original install files, or another workaround, so people can just log onto the computers and use them??

Thanks very much in advance for any suggestions.
