My folder heirarchy, simplified, has Inbox and 2 folders under it: "Support" and "Server Messages. "

When I first started, a rule was created for my inbox:
    - All e-mail sent to Support Distribution Group goes to Support Distribution Group Folder
    - Except if from Helpdesk@domain.com or FTPreceipt@domain.com
    - Except if the subject contains "Ticket" or "Ticket # "

Now, we've recently enabled our firewall product to send messages to Support Distribution Group when e-mails having certain attachments arrive for users. (As a general rule, you block harmful attachments - zips, pdfs, exes - and we get these for review in case a department needs them retrieved from the appliance.)

    I created a second rule:
    - All e-mail sent from appliance@emailfilter.domain.com goes to Server Messages Folder

This created a copy of the e-mail in my Server Messages Folder. Not what I wanted. I amended the first rule I have. Now it reads:
    - All e-mail sent to Support Distribution Group goes to Support Distribution Group Folder
    - Except if from Helpdesk@domain.com or FTPreceipt@domain.com or appliance@emailfilter.domain.com
    - Except if sent to Accounting Director (note: the appliance sends to our distribution group and the intended recipient, and I've added only one name for now)
    - Except if the subject contains "Ticket" or "Ticket #" or INFO : emailfilter.domain.org [...] (it's a really long subject I'm not going to retype)
    - Except if body contains "<form-title, first line of all e-mails from appliance> "

I've placed the second rule above and below the support rule. I'm still getting a copy of the e-mail in both my Support and Server Messages folders.

How do I make these messages (which come in an average of 10-20 minutes apart, filling my folder) go into only one folder, that I choose? I thought I understood how rules were made and worked, but seems not.

Can someone point out my error?

I have many other rules other than those two. And many other folders. Where in the order of rules should I put it?

So "stop processing more rules" isn't going to stop the other rules I created? It'll just stop inside the ones I'm having a problem with?

    Sorry... being dense today.

No, stop processing more rules will just mean that it will stop after that rule has been executed.

That resolved the problem. Thank you, and sorry for forgetting to close the thread.
