    Tried to send new email. Once in the message body, can't get any color but yellow no matter what I do. Closest help answer related to 'high contrast'; changed that setting/reboot/email text still yellow. Complete search here negative. No matter if I set 'automatic'(black) or choose another, on reboot text still yellow.

    Don't know if this will work in Outlook, but it does in Outlook Express;

    Click on Tools, Options, select the Compose tab, click on Mail Font Settings, in the drop down Color menu select Black.

    Hope this helps. :)

    Thanks

    But that didn't work. Do not find tools/options/etc. Still checking.

    Reread your initial post and am wondering when you say "No matter if I set 'automatic (black) or choose another, on reboot text still yellow ", where you made this setting at. I had a chance to look at machine today that has Outlook on it and the following is where I able to change this setting, but I am unsure if this is what you meant in your inital post;

    Open Outlook, click on Tools, Options and select the Sending Tab. In the area entitled "When composing New Messages" click on the Font button, towards the button check your color setting. Is the color here set as yellow, or Auto, or Black?

    Also I was wondering if you tried selecting the yellow text in the message body and changing the font from the right click menu?

    Hope this helps. :)

    You're welcome. For furture reference I was wondering if the suggestions in my last post corrected the problem, or if you found someother way to do it.

    :)

    yellow text

    Rod, excuse prior short post; just wanted to give you an answer on the run. Yes, your suggestion worked and, Yes, the color 'bar' was yellow...the one you can't read unless you're a vampire on the fifth Wednesday in May at midnight.
