A few months ago when I set up my Outlook account, I was not working full time on this company, so used the Out of Office assistant to automatically respond to anyone who made contact i.e. thank you for your interest, we will be in touch shortly. I now use Outlook all the time, and need to remove this message which is frustrating for clients:mad:, especially those who e-mail me frequently and get this response every single time. However, having gone back in to turn the Out of Office Assistant off, it is no longer on the tools menu; it seems for some reason it has automatically been removed. Can anyone help?

Which version of Outlook are you using?

Do you maybe have Webmail through your company and can turn off the assitant there?

I am using outlook 2007. I am a one man band so no webmail facility - just directed my e-mail to outlook using my domain server (easyspace). Have tried to enable cookies, turn the assistant off using rules etc. Very confusing.

Out of Office ONLY works in an Exchange Server enviroment which is usually only found in medium to large size companies...

Did you maybe setup message rules to do auto replies?
