    I'm at the website taking the tour and it seems to be compatible with Office 2000/XP. Does anybody use it; what do you think?

    I tried Star Office for awhile. It's not bad. I got rid of it because it could not convert files from other programs. If everyone you know uses it then it is OK. If you send a letter to someone with Word Perfect, they can't open it.

    My immediate need

    Is a program that can read and convert Word/Excel/PPT documents. Time will tell.
