yareya - Welcome to the Board :)

In order to install the operating system you must boot from the installation CD.

Go back into the BIOS and set the boot order to CD-Rom > Floppy > Hard Drive. Save the settings and exit.

Place the XP CD in the CD-ROM drive and reboot the computer.

On the white text screen after the POST messages look for a message like 'Hit any key to boot from CD'.

Hit any key as instructed and then follow the instructions on screen to install the OS.

    Any problems - post back.
