I installed opera 9.5 and lost the use of many websites. Internet Explorer still has them. I went back to 9.2 and got some of them back. I tried opera web site, with no help. One important site is Shutterfly, where my Greatgrandson's photos are available. It also opens with Internet Explorer, which I only use for Updates. I have gone to Edit Site Preferences and set Opera to Identify as Internet Explorer and Mask as Internet Explorer and neither has helped. I do not know where to go next.

Make sure your Java is up to date. I can access Shutterfly with Opera 9.52. It is a shame that many websites refuse to make their sites compatible with Opera.

I have downloaded and installed Java yesterday. All Java is shown as enabled in Preferences, Advanced and Content.

    Yes. JavaScript, Java, and plug-ins.

I would try uninstalling all versions of Opera. Cleanup up any remnants of Opera and then download plus install Opera 9.52. Save your opera6.adr (bookmarks) and wand.dat (passwords) files to a folder in My Documents so you install them over the fresh ones from the new install.

I use "RevoUninstaller" which digs in for things, even in the Registry. Uninstalled Opera. Went to the Opera web site and downloaded the latest Opera Installer (9.52) and installed it. No change. Uninstalled Java. Went to the Java web site and downloaded the latest Java and installed it. No change.

I just noticed that some of favorite sites didn't function correctly. I cleared the cache and then went to Tools > Preferences > Advanced tab > Security and unchecked Enable Fraud Protection. I closed the browser then opened it. The sites worked correctly after.

I tried all of that Whiskyman, and it did not help. I had already turned off Enable Fraud Protection, even tho I did not know why.
