Opera Browser Settings?

    I just installed Opera and have never used it before. I would like to know if anyone can tell me what settings need changing so that browser will be safer while surfing. Any help will be appreciated.

    HI!!! Go to Tools, Quick Preferences, and check what you want there. Then click Preferences, and go down to Privacy, and check what you like there. Go to Security and check what you like there. Start with the defaults, then make any change you like. Defaults seem to be safe, but after using the browser, you may want to try other things. Write down your changes in case you want to go back.

    So if I leave the defaults as they are, Opera will be secure? I am worried about all the cookies that are on there when you hit Tools, Cookies. Thanks!

    The vast majority of cookies are normal, safe, useful little critters.

    I know I deleted a few of them, like doubleclick, and others like that.
