Using Opera as my browser with WIN98 SE. Finding problems opening some links. Went to www.dollar.com trying to rent a car. Filled in all the info, even entered my code as NFA2. Tried clicking on "get rates'" - nothing.

Went to www.chrisbriscoe.com, clicked on "my photos" and entered "Mautner" in space provided. Again cursor changed to a hand but a click brings forth nothing. All my relatives seem to be able to bring in the pictures, but not I. Can anyone explain the problem?

    Java script support

I think some of your java script settings are disabled.

Over use by **** sites and others, spawning dozens of pop up windows caused several of the Browser Developers to limit or allow you to limit java script. The default settings may have java script disabled. There may be an option to prompt (Y/N) for a java script. Or other degrees of settings. (I don't really know Opera.)

Also if Opera does not use the M$ (java) Virtual Machine, then you might need to get the free download of Sun Java (The Real Thing!) This page is rather confusing, but hunt down the proper one for your system.
