When double clicking an attachment [.3gp] in my email inbox in SM 1.1.4 it will open
in the browser with Quicktime but when I do the same in SM 1.1.18 it
brings up a black page in the browser and says loading but nothings does. I am using the same profile with both versions but I
do not have both running at the same time. Any ideas?

It is physically impossible to run the same program, regardless of the profile. I do not think that there should any problem using the same profile with two different versions.
I, never, had the occasion to attempt opening a .3gp attachment, and, even less to open it in the browser. Almost all my attachments open with an outside program. I right click the attachment icon, and make a selection.
I don't know if the problem is with the method used to open the file, or the type of file, or what. I don't think that one can generalize using a single type of file, as I understand. If both 1.1.4 and 1.1.8 exist at the same time (and how?), are the plugins the same in both program? The profiles would have nothing to do, in such case.

I have SM 1.1.4, SM 1.1.18 [put into a different folder] and SM 2.0 in its own folder. The plugins I am going to check on. I never open another when one is already open. I get the .3gp attachment from my granddaughter of my ggreandchild from her phone. When it opens in the browser it draws on QT. Will post back on the plugins.
    Thanks,quickshot

According to my Plugins|npqtplugin5.dll|Properties|version tab|.3gp should be on top of the list. If your SM1.1.18 does not have that .dll file, it should not be able to open it. I, generally copy/paste the Plugins folder from one version to the others. v.1.1.18 and 2.0 have the same Plugins folder. v.1.1.18's was carried on since the Netscape days.
