    Doubleentry (Small).jpg

Open with: Foxit Reader is there twice. How do I get rid of one of the entries?

Doug Knox has a script that will clear that list for you.

    Get It Here.

Glad you found it useful Alicia. :) I just noticed that Doug changed that download to a zipped .exe file whereas it used to be a VB script. Still works fine though.

For those who want to do it another way:

Start > Run > regedit > and go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\
and find the file extension you want to edit.
Then open the "OpenWithList" folder and delete the entries you don't want to appear on the Right Click list.

You can also edit the Folder Options in Explorer or My Computer, select Tools > Folder Options > File Types > and scroll down to the one that's bugging you. Highlight it and select Restore. That usually will cause the Restore button to change its name to Advanced. Click that Advanced button and highlight Open and delete it. Confirm the action and close out. That will leave the file with no association. You can reassociate it while you are there and assign whatever you like for the default. Some files, such as .dat and the likes, need no association assigned.

    All the best, Dude
