    Hey everyone,

Im trying to set up DIVX as my default DVD movie player on Windows XP. And Im used to right clicking, then selecting DIVX to use as the recommended program for DVD's. But there is no "Open With" option after right clicking.

I tried running the Reg edit found on line 220 here http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm at that link. But it doesn't work

Everything i have done does not seem to work after using line 220. Is there anything else i can do to get "Open with" command prompt to show up on my E drive that runs my DVD's and CD's?

    Welcome to WindwsBBS;)

The right click Open With "should" only work with files....and not a dvd or a drive...

Worse case is that you might have to copy one of the movie type files to the hard drive and do open with.

Other option would be to launch DIVX and point it to the files on the dvd.

On XP, if a file type is associated with a program, right clicking will not list an "Open with" command. To get that command in the rt click menu one must hold down the Shift key when right clicking a file icon.
