Open windows not displaying in Taskbar

I am hoping someone has an answer for me - a few days ago my open windows and applications no longer show in my taskbar. I am able to see all open application through alt-tab only. Once I am in a window it functions perfectly - I am just not able to see them in the taskbar...

I am running XP tablet edition, and have downloaded service pack 2, as well as reinstalled Norton Anti Virus as well as run spyware scans...

Anyone ever seen this before?
