I hope this question wasn't answered already. I could not find anything about this in previous messages.

I want to open a new netscape window every time I click on a link (instead of right clicking and selecting 'open link in new window' every time).

Is there some way to do this in the netscape config file? or would this be a windows registry edit?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Welcome to the Forum, crystaldc!

    Hi crystaldc,

To open a new window when clicking on a link, other than right clicking and select "Open in new window" which is what most users do, you can also use the middle mouse button, or scroll wheel. This will take you to a new window.

You can also change this setting in about:config:

First: back up your prefs.js file
    advanced.system.supportDDEExec
    Clear the Location Bar
    Type in: about:config
    Right click the setting
    Select "Modify "
Change the Value from "true" to "false "

    Hi Ramona,

Thanks for your reply but the config file change does not work for me. The mouse suggestion also doesn't work since I use a laptop and I don't always have a mouse attached. Also, I use the middle button for 'autoscroll'.

    Any other ideas?
