open link in netscape e mail into firefox browser

    windows xp
    netscape e mail 4.7
    firefox browser 1.0

    i cannot find any options or preferences to have the links in my netscape e mails open in my firefox browser. they continue to open in my netscape browser. is there a way to change this?

    If you have only the Firefox browser installed, "mailto:" links will open the system default mail client. Same goes for news. There is nothing you can do to make links from within Messenger open in a browser other than Communicator.

    Sorry!

    You might want to give some thought to giving Thunderbird a try. At this stage it is quite stable, and I believe you would be much happier, than with Messenger.

    Thanks for the reply. I did download Thunderbird and had some trouble setting up a profile and importing my old Netscape profile. Did it all by hand and I used it for a day but could not get used to the graphics and the heavy frames.

    I wonder if some of us are just creatures of habit.

    Will try again someday.
