When I click a folder in windows explorer it brings up a search page. How do I get it to just open to the files within the folder?

That worked great, but my antivirus sure didn't like it. Thanks, it is working as it should now. :D :D :D

    Glad to hear it.
Antivirus apps, and many individuals, don't like vb-script. It has gotten a bad rap from its use by "script kiddies "---but it is simple and useful still.

I am by no means advocating this particular course, but it is an example of what is available.

Depending on your learning style, you could run the gamut from picking up what you need to know online to buying a complete course.

Just use any search engine and look for "visual basic tutorial ", "visual basic course ", "visual basic training ", "visual basic examples ", etc. and you'll find loads of stuff.

I'd also suggest that before you run any scripts again, you open them with Notepad and take a look at what they contain. Even with no knowledge of VB, you can usually get the gist of what they are supposed to do, and whether they are actually addressing the problem that they purport to.
I certainly would never recommend a dangerous site or advise others to run a script I was at all unsure of, but those "malicious" people that the MS security bulletins always refer to actually exist out there. Never open a script that is in an email until you have verified that it is really from the person it claims to be, and that it was sent purposely rather than by a virus. A phone call may make you look paranoid, but can save you a world of hurt.
