Hi guys, can someone please help me? When i have a program open and i click on the Open Files dialog, my files are displayed in Modified order, when i would like them to be displayed in Name order, i have tried to change the order in the Open File box, but it keeps reverting back to Modified order. It's really becoming a pain as all the files in the normal windows explorer window are in Name order. I hope i've explained it ok. LOL

    Give this a shot:
    http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_opensaveorder.htm

It's a link to a regpatch that when double clicked will merge the values into your regisrty. If you wish you can open this in notepad to view the hkey and value involved.

Ordinarily I would recommend either manually making a restore point or backing up either your registry or the hkey involved, (by opening "regedit" and using the toolbar option of "export "), but I have the exact value in my own registry so I foresee no harm.

On review of post and since I can't guarantee this I have decided to include the caution anyway. To much Coffee may be making me feel paranoid....
