Hi ... new member with an issue ... go figure ...

Quick specs ... Vista x64 on Lenovo w500 ... used in a dock as a desktop - never leaves the desk.

I am running low on C: space so I bought a big 4TB eSata disk. I wanted to move my desktop and other 'user' folders to the new drive. So I moved the Desktop ...

... except, I moved it to the root of the new external drive and now that Drive showing up as my desktop.

I wanted my desktop to be a folder on that drive and not be the drive itself.

When I try and restore the default location or move it somewhere else I get errors ... it now shows up under the User as the Desktop, but I don't want the root of the drive all cluttered up like that ...

    Any advice?

    TIA!

So your desktop works with the drive disconnected? All the files are there? It is only that you cannot delete the duplicated files off the external drive, is that right?

Let us know what you have tried and what error messages you get.
