I have a Windows XP machine with 512MB of memory and an 80GB HD that's half used. I guess it's about 2 years old.

    Problem:
Turned on PC and it goes to black screen that displays the Video card, and shows that it detecsts the keyboard and mouse and at the bottom there is one option. "F1 Boot from network..... "(something to this effect).

when I press F1 it lists 4 options to boot from
    1. Removable device
    2. Hard drive
    3. Cd rom
    4. (don't remember)

Using the first two options I was able to boot up in SAFE MODE. But everything is very very very sTow.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the pack Jermaine,

First thing to do is check to see if you have inadvertantly left some disk in one of your drives.
