I have read issues at least one member here was having with Comodo Firewall.

I am not really sure apart from the comfort-making pop ups, if it's really working for me.....so, I am starting to explore other options.

I came upon Online Armor Free Firewall, Googled some. It has very good reviews on more than one site, tho it appears relatively new:

Is anyone here familiar with it?

    Thanks!

    Update:

While I still yearn for feedback from anyone familiar with this firewall, typical of me, I went ahead.

Used the Comodo uninstaller, rebooted and use the downloaded installer package on desktoop for new firewall.

Very premature, but I think I uv this firewall!

Very focused in its setup, what it checked, how it checked, how it learned and the options it offers. "Focused" is the word....and I was starting to feel Comodo was manic but not that focused.

Also, the file is half the size Comodos's was.

Obviously need to observe ongoing, but my initial take is this was a good thing I just did.

The paid for version offers infinite options, but I am no way up to considering that.

    We shall see.

I so look forward to informed opinions on this app!!!!

    Update 2:

This new firewall I never heard of until I Googled....presents query popups FAR MORE informative and thorough than Comodo! Just this is amazing to me.

Not as aesthetic, but who cares about that? It's DATA WE NEED.

When, to get here just now, I tried to open FX, it reported that new progam I knew was FX was trying to control trusted app, Superantispy.

It gives you detailerd INFORMATION, guys. I also think, tho never checked re Comodo, and this is fast systerm....it may also use fewer system resources than Comodo.

I do believe this may be an excellent free firewall.....for ADULTS.

Wow. I feel I am on some no fly list. I felt I was reporting the data I am gleaning from my little journey with this new app.....and thought those were important for anyone not familiar with it. I feel terrible you feel this is chit chat, Pete.

Pls forgive me but I do not get the felonious part of this, Pete, I honestly do not.

The way you are posting people won't bother to respond.

You solve your own problems (good for you), but it begs the question why you are posting here. You could open a Twitter account & let the world know ;)

A most excellent post. But the premise is that someone posting isn't seriously interested in feedback. Trust me, I am!!

But Arie, given I am mainly self taught, I am also used to struggling on my own too! I am not sure why I need to apologize for that, it's something Iam proud of and it was't easy.

I guess, for me, they aren't mutually exclusive! Yes! that's it!

I see I also try to engourage that autonomy in others. Never means someone doesn't yearn for expert help!

I try to do as much on my own as I can....and Arie, that is in every single life arena.

But I love that you spelled it out.....cause otherwise I would have not just explored this!

Now, I am testing and observing re this new firewall. Does not mean, if someone with real experience with it posts it is bad and gives precious details, I will not right away factor that in!!!!

I am chasing data as I do, every second. Including from myself! For me, it's not either/or. In anything.
