Mail will not leave my computer unless there is at least one name in the To: slot.
It didn't used to be that way. What is wrong?

Molehill--Try deleting the Bcc box. In the New Message window click View and unclick All Headers.

Molehill, some ISP's are returning mail that does not have an address in the To: line, Earthlink for one. I have set up an address called "To My Friends" with my address and use it when I want to use the BCC field. True, I get the message also but it's easy to hit "delete ". This way I am not sharing anyone's address other than my own which the recipient already has anyway.

Another way, of course, to utilise the BCC header if e-mail is being returned by an ISP due to no e-address in the To header is to use your own e-address in the To header itself.

Make yourself a recipient in your address book, name it me. Now put me in your To: field, then ?? in the bcc! Enjoy, George.
