I am looking for a good off-site on-line backup for one of my clients. I looked at IBackup Pro and it looks pretty good but it does not list Win Server 2003 as supported. I need to backup 3 to 5 GB of data to an off-site/on-line site. Does anybody have any good suggestions.

    Thanks

    On-Line Backup uning IBackup Professional

It's somewhat expensive but not too bad. $14.95 per month or $149.50 per year. The alternative to lost data is worth the cost. The client does on-site backup to DVD-ROM but their business plan also calls for off-site backup for disaster recovery. This is a no brainer. I received confirmation today that IBackup Pro supports Windows Server 2003.

I tried a product called PCFort but it would not work and the customer support was non-existant. Gave that up in a hurry!!!

    Veritas
    and a DDS4 Dat drive.

Veritas takes snapshots of open files and as far as I know the only way to recover from a complete disaster.

    I normally have 20 tapes in rotation. 5 days a week x 4 weeks.
On Monday morning fridays tape goes in the backup operators pocket and mondays tape goes in the drive. Tuesday morning mondays tape goes in the pocket and tuesdays goes in the drive.

If the building burns to the ground build a new server and throw the tape in and keep right on trucking.
    Active Directory, Exchange, Domain, everything.
You wont do that with a DVD and you wont do it with a 14.99 a month backup solution.

    Just my 2 cents.
