Every so often after bootup I have no cursor or I have cursor but it will not move. I then have to do a force reboot and then everything is OK. I have checked for driver updates on the mouse and also monitor - mine are current. It does not seems to me that this could be a virus or malware problem but I have run scans for both to be sure. Have checked Microsoft support and could not find anything similar. This is not a problem that always occurs but only sometimes but would like to find solution.
Am using Windows 7 Home with all updates current.

Have you tried a different mouse or plugging the existing mouse into another port?

Could be a dodgy USB port - only time will tell if your issue is resolved.

    When you are happy .....
