Hi, Hawk. Welcome to Windows BBS!

Windows BBS exists primarily to help people with computer issues.

When I started using Windows BBS, I was pleased with the friendly help I received here. I also don't like ads. Therefore, I purchased a 1-year subscription (NOT required, as Arie noted above), to get rid of the ads and to show my appreciation for the time and effort others here put into helping. I also wanted to show my appreciation to Arie for maintaining Windows BBS for us (which DOES cost Arie time AND money).

When my 1-year subscription expired, I felt I had evaluated Windows BBS enough to decide whether I wanted to continue my subscription. I decided that I would be spending enough time here that the "Lifetime Subscription" would be a better deal in the long-run.

Overall, I have been VERY pleased with Windows BBS. I have learned LOTS of things here and I also LIKE to help other people if I can. I expect to be around here for quite awhile.

If you cannot afford a subscription or you want to give it some time before deciding whether you want to contrinbute financially, I fully expect any help you ask for in the meantime will be addressed as long as you follow the posting rules and helpful people with experience regarding your particular problems read your threads. I do NOT think any less attention will be given to you just because you haven't paid for a subscription. Besides, when we help others here regardless of whether we subscribe financially to Windows BBS, we may be helping several other people who read those threads (including those people who never even register with the site).

Likewise, if you decide you want to help others, there is still NO requirement to pay for a subscription. You can contribute to the Windows BBS community by helping others instead. Any friendly time and help you can provide will be appreciated.
