I am working on an older Dell machine in which I had to add a NIC to connect to my network. Once I did the computer is looking to start from the network and tries twice before booting into Windows. In Setup there is no choice for Boot from Network so there is nothing to disable.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how to prevent it from trying?

    Thanks

The setting should be found in the boot options within the Bios.

    The choices are:
    1. FDD
    2. CD
    3. HDD

    No choice for network

I have found that if the boot priority is set
    HDD
    CD
    FDD

it boots normally. If either the CD or the FDD is set to the first device it tries to boot from the network.
