Okidata printer issue on XP

    We just installed a new Dell computer and have connected it to an Okidate Microline 320 Turbo 9pin printer, needed for printing business forms... but it won't print anything properly. I have removed and reinstalled the driver, removed the printer completely and reinstalled, turned off both printer and computer several times... still only printing garbled mess. Any thoughts?

    Since this is a DMP, 2 things can checked - 1. cable 2. Parallel Port configuration in BIOS (change to SPP).
