    What?

I haven't had heard of Netscape 7.01 yet.

If you are talking about Netscape 7.0 PR1 Stripped-down package, you should go back to the website and read the information on that page.

I am not going to answer anymore here.

Here's How to disable the Mozilla 1.0 quicklaunch (I don't have NS7 installed but it should be the same/similar):
Edit/Preferences... Highlight Advanced: UNcheck the option to Enable Quick Launch

Thank you for the reply. I don't have Norton but do use ZA Pro. That may be the problem but the program ran great for a while. Then sometime later after a reboot it started. I will bookmark the site for the future but I just finished a romplete reformat to get rid of it. I could not find an uninstaller in the program. Thanks again

Yes, it was most likely a conflict with the ZoneAlarm firewall program and the Quick Launch feature. Sorry you had to reformat to get rid of Netscape7. I'm suprised you did not find an uninstaller or Add/Remove entry for Netscape 7. since the Netscape 7.0 PR1 Release Notes do say:

    Hi ya erg!

Boy, you really did go to the max to get rid of Netscape 7. ;) You most likely could have resolved your problem by creating a new Profile. This usually fixes the type of problem you were having, in the event that it wasn't a conflict with a Firewall or AV.

    Better luck next time!

Thanks for the reply Ramona. Nice to hear from you. I had my head up and locked. I just checked the START/PROGRAMS/NETSCAPE and didnt see UNINSTALL NETSCAPE. I never even thought about going to CONTROL PANEL/ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS :). Actully I was looking for an excuse to wipe this thing clean it was getting a little cranky. It is running smooth now and I reinstalled the 7.0 but killed the quick launch feature. It worked great all day yesterday but then again it worked a while the first time. I havent checked it today because I left at 3:45 am to take my wife to M D Anderson in Houston and just got back. I am on 4.78 now and will give the new one a try in a little bit.
