    OffSet 51000000

    Dear All,

Being an advocate fan of Mozilla Firefox, currently using version 1.5.0.7

I have encountered this offset problem; OffSet 51000000

I have tried everything in the Mozilla forums, i have checked against the extensions i have installed *toggling them on and off* The extensions that have an asterix against them are known for causing problems on Firefox, but i have also read and tried their respected solutions.

Extensions i have installed are the latest up to date versions:

    Fasterfox
    IE Tab
    Windows Update
    Firebug
    IE View
    PDF Download
    Print It
    View Image Backgrounds
    eWebmail Colours & Graphics
GreaseMonkey * (with scripts) turned off
    Yahoo Toolbar
    Search Plugin Hacks
    X-Ray
    PimpFish Toolbar
    User Agent Switcher
    Dutchblock
    Yahoo Mail Notifier
    CustomizeGoogle
    NoScript *
    Adblock Plus *
    Adblock Filterset.G Updater *
    Video Downloader
    Unofficial MySpace Toolbar
    Tab Mix Plus
    Print 0.2.6
    Print Image 0.4
    Print/Preview 0.4
    Torrent Search Toolbar
    Print Preview 0.6.1.0

This problem is always repeated, when Windows Media Player is embedded in a website. i.e if wanted to view a video clip from WWE.com or a profile on MySpace has Windows Media Player embedded, it causes to close the browser down. This occurs in Internet Explorer. I don't want to be in a position of reinstalling Windows XP Professional. I have also Google in finding a more definitive answer. But can't!!! If anybody can shed some light onto this Offset or if you require any additional information. I would be more then happy to provide it.

Using Windows Media Player 11 Build Version 11.0.5705.5043

    Machine SetUp

Windows XP SP2 (All Latest Updates) **
    ASUS A8N-SLI *Bios Version 1013*
    2 x Seagate Barracuda's 200GB SATA 7200.7
    2GB (4 x 512 OCZ Dual Channel 3200) Ram
NVIDIA Geforce 6600 *Latest Graphics Card Driver Ver. 9.1.3.1

Is this Offset an error, what? I have never encountered anything like that, so I don't have a clue of what it could be.
As for the extentions, did did try to start in safe mode, which disables all extentions? I go to start|Run|select firefox.exe and appends -safe-mode to the string. You will be given a choice to start with all extentions, and themes disabled. If no joy, it could be an issue with WMP11, which I don't have.
But, extentions could be an issue. I have only a handful.

I have already posted a post on the above problem; in regards to Offset: 51000000. I have been on an exploration, in trying to find an answer to the above problem. Mozilla Forums and Google etc

I have currently installed on my machine Firefox Ver. 1.5.0.8 & 2.0, that latter is installed in a different directory. I have tried both in Safe Mode. The same problem is persisting, when trying to watch a WMV in a website that has Windows Media Player embedded in its website. The boo hoo!? is that the same problem is always persisting in Internet Explorer. I have Windows Media Player 11 *Final Version* I have rolled back to Windows Media Player 10, which worked, but only on my profile. My computer is only used by myself and brother *We both have separate accounts* On my Brother's profile, when i'd rolled back to Windows Media Player 10 ...the same problem occured. The plugins i have installed with my Windows Media Player are; Morgan Switch Convertor, Nero Plugin, Oggboc, HDTV Transport Stream Filter, Convolvor Plugin and Convolver WAV ....the script that is generated will exceed the character allowance on here. A fellow respected 'WindowsBBS' member, had provided some solutions. But has suggested to repost, as he is unable to provide any further assistance. I don't want to be in a position of having to reinstall Windows XP. I do have a few codec packages. Which i will post at a later time. As i am currently at work.

I want to resolve this so that on both accounts, i would be able to view Windows Player content that is embedded in websites

    Any ideas?

I have installed WMP11, and have had no problem. But, I don't view WMP files as embedded. I prefer to use the media player connectivity extention . If customized, embedded files should open WMP, rather than the internal player (or whatever is the default player for the files). It does not work with all sites, but work for me most of the time. It is worth trying.
