I'm hoping someone can help me here. Keep in mind I have a very basic knowledge of computing!
I had been using a laptop for work which was connected to network. Files were being used on and offline and syncronising somewhere in the middle!
I have left this job now and have the laptop.
This was then disconnected from the network.
All the files which were in 'my documents' have gone from there!
It transpires these are in c:windows/csc
There are a couple of files directly in this folder then lots of other subfolders.
The file size seems about the same as was 'my documents'.
    I cant however open them!
I've managed to get a shortcut to 'offline files' on my desktop. When I open this I can see all the files but cannot open them.

    HELP...!!

I've noticed a previous posting re using a resource kit command shell, and then a long string of what to type in. I tried and failed!

So i'm no loner connected to the server, yet the string everyone seems to say enter includes a 'server' ??!?!

If you can help me, wherever you are, theres a beer in it for you!

Hello Martin and welcome to the Board :)

    Look at this thread:

    help with c:\windows\csc
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=56934&highlight=csc

The MS Article linked to will tell you how to access the file.

I deleted your e-mail address - not a good idea to post it in a public forum.

    Regards - Charles
