I've just installed Office 2003. I used Office XP before. 2003 takes more drive space than office XP (Office XP Pro was 208MB) Many of additional functionality implemented in office 2003 just not required for me. Is the Office 2003 more stable, more 'secure' than office XP?

I would say this, although I migrated from Office 2000 > 2003. I have had no stability problems with 2003, which I must have been running for 3 - 4 years, although I had few problems with 2000.

If you feel that the disk load is excessive, with hindsight a Custom install would have suited you better. If you go to Add/Remove Programs > Microsoft Office > Change/Remove you have the opportunity to remove elements you do not require.

I can't use half the functions in Office 95:eek:

Office 2000 is my all time favorite due to it being "lite weight" compared to the newer versions.

I've been using Office 2003 Pro for a couple of years and it works fine and dandy...

I just installed Office 2007 on another pc and talk about shock:cool:

    its all very similar
the office 97 was very different than the 2000 et all line up.
Most people are not even using the functions in office that came with windows 3.1
