I'm considering replacing Win XP with Win 7. My primary Office software is MS Office 03 and I don't have the funds necessary to go to a later version. When I ran the Win 7 compatibility program, the only software I use that was flagged as being incompatible was my current version of Quicken.

Can anyone confirm whether or not Office 03 will work with Win 7?

I'm using MS Office 2000 with win 7-32bit which is older and I have no problems. I did have to upgrade my version of Quicken when I upgraded to win 7.

Yes it will. Have it on 3 different PC's and no problems. Just get all the updates for it including the Service Pack. It is no longer supported by MS, but that is fine for me for what little I use it.

    Hi fdamp.

I can confirm that Office 2003 works fine on Windows 7.

Here is a screenshot for proof.

Meant to add that it also works on Win 8 and still worked when updated to 8.1

Yes. Thanks folks. I'm considering W7 because my son-in-law has a disk with a multiple-use installation password. In view of the post earlier that Win 7 is now officially out-of-service. maybe I should reconsider.

The Post relates to advice that Windows 7 will NOT be available for NEW computers. (MS will not supply any further licences)
You will still be able to use W7 until support is pulled by MS (can't remember the date) Neil.

Neil, the Windows 7 end of sales date for Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, and Ultimate was October 31, 2014. For Windows 7 Professional, the end of sales date is not yet established so I think Windows 7 Professional is still available to purchase.

The information is here by the way, Windows lifecycle fact sheet.

Thanks, Neil. I can probably get a few years use before W7 goes the way of XP! I'll run the compatibility program again. I'll probably get Quicken 2014 and cross load all my data from XP before I replace XP with W7..
