Is there any way to increase the font size of the list of e-mail headers in OE6 Inbox? I can change it in the Preview Pane.

    Start > Run > Regedit
    Go to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl]
Create a new Key called FEATURE_STF_Scale_Min
Create a new DWORD value named Msimn.exe (in the key above)
Give it a value of 90 (note the default value is 60% text size)
    Close Regedit
Open Outlook Express and check if it worked (you may need to restart)

Note: I don't think this works on all computers, it depends on what version of IE installed etc

Please let me know if it worked :)

kimsland, be interesting to see if this works for this case, I was only aware that that key was used to increase the font size in the "Shrink to Fit" (printer) feature.

Note: You can type any number from 30 to 100. The number that you type represents the minimum scaling percentage that will be used by the "Shrink to Fit" feature.

    kimsland,

First let me say that I am very timid when it comes to messing around in the Registry. I was able to get to the point of giving the new key a value of 90 but I coudn't figure out how to do that. I should point out that the default had the following under the data column:

(Value not set). Could the absence of a default value in that column possibly be the problem?

I deleted the Dword value and the key that I had created and backed out at that point. Could you give some guidance in setting the Dword value? Thanks.

Actually I'm in agreeance to Arie, that the above may only change the printer Shrink To Fit size.
But in saying that, I still believe that on some system setups that the above may work, in viewing Outlook Express (not just printing) But I think its only IE6 and possibly older Service Pack dependent.

If you still want to try, then here's an easier option ;)
Save the below quoted text to Notepad:
    Save it as STF.Reg
Select All Files (as "Save as type ")
Select the Save in... location as Desktop (just for convenience)
    Then select Save
    Close Notepad

Locate the newly created file STF.Reg
Right Click on it and select Merge then Yes
    Restart and test

    ---------
If it doesn't work there is another area and that is a possible candidate and that is Icon text (in appearance settings in Control Panel Display settings) But the concern here is that all icon text will be enlarged as well

    ---------
Another option is just to change the screen resolution size
    Start > Run > rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL desk.cpl,,3 > ok
What is your Screen Resolution set at?

    Kimsland and Arie,

Thanks for all the input. I think I have decided to just leave it alone for now. It's not a big problem and I may just use it as justification to get a larger monitor.
