Resolved OE6 Address book won't import in full

My MD has an HP PC running XPSP3 with OE6.

He has tried to import his OE address book (this has some 2800 names in it) OE6 imports approx 460 then he gets an error message stating he needs to free up some disk space. He has copied the wab file from his memory stick into my docs and tried it from there. It still won't import anymore than 460 with the same message. He has defragged, run disk clean up and still has the problem.
Would anybody have any ideas?

The address book was exported from a Dell PC with XPSP3 here in the UK. The HP is in the states.

Everything is sorted. He managed to import the wab file ok in the end.
