OE settings changed on their own??

I tried to forward a message with a lot of pics to an esteemed member of this BBS. He got boxes with red Xes, not pics. I thought at first it was an IncrediMail problem- that's how the message was sent to me. He was patient with me, and then, with his usual brevity and clarity said:

and, he added :For IE, tools~options~send~html settings

I haven't messed with anything lately, and I have no idea how the box for "show pics" was unticked. I also do not know why the "reply to messages in format they were sent" box was ticked either. OE burped? I looked around, and everything else seems to be okay. System is squeaky clean, lean and mean. No one uses this comp but me, either. It's a mystery!

LOL - I did get it with all the embedded pictures. And liked it BTW.

As to what happened - I have no idea of the specifics and it could well be a by-blow of incredimail. My wife has the same thing happen to here on occasion (sometimes several times a week) and she isn't making changes either.

She did have Incredimail for a while although she ran it for months without the problem. Could be an XP update that the app didn't like. Incredimail is gone but the glitch still shows up.

At this point she just puts herself in as a bcc on email formatted like this so she sees if there is a problem.

At this point Jan (wife person) who loves her eye candy is using smileycentral.com and hotbar.com. Both are probably spyware but not intrusive and surely better than IncrediIntrusiveMail.

 

I don't use IncrediMail, but I sure do get a lot of mail forwarded through them. The footer is usually impossible to delete, and the graphics often don't forward without the flashing red envelope. The whole thing is like one big pic, and cannot be edited with regular C&P.

So I still have no idea what changed my OE settings???

Probably a good idea to get his since the $70mil US it cost him was a loss for the builder and it would probably run around $100mil to have one built.
