I am running Outlook Express with Windows XP. Last night I found that any emails I tried to send stayed in the Outbox and when I clicked on 'Send' I
had the message "Some errors occurred when processing the selected tasks "
However, the recipients of my emails from last night have received the email anything from 10 - 30 times
I downloaded Microsoft Spyware Removal Tool - ran that and all was O.K. - I use Avast as my Virus Checker and did a full scan with that also.
    Can anyone help please?

Course - you need to delete the mail out of the outbox;)

But there's a good chance your sent mail.dbx file is corrupt.
If you want to keep those mails - you need to move them to another folder and then delete the sent mail.dbx file.

Is your sent box full? This will cause it not to be able to move the mail from Outbox to Sent folder.

To expand on what Steve posted .....

In OE make a new folder - OutboxOld and drag the mails from Outbox into it.

Then search for *.dbx - include hidden files and folders

With OE closed delete Outbox.dbx - it will be recreated when OE is reopened.

Send a test email and if all is OK drag the mails from OutboxOld into Outbox and delete the OutboxOld folder.

As a footnote, when you have located the .dbx files check their size with particular attention to Sent Items as MrBill posted. OE plays up if these exceed 500Mb. If any are >500Mb either selectively delete the contents of the folder from within OE or, if all mails are required, make one or more new folders to store them in.
