OE/IE 6 - links not working

I upgraded our secretary to Internet Explorer version 6 - it works great except that links in Outlook Express do not launch a browser window - it's sort of flickers and does nothing.

I have verified that the URL: file type settings are set to Internet Explorer and that Internet Explorer is the default browser.

Any ideas for me? Thanks!

ericblz--You seem to have already tried the two most common fixes.**
Maybe Repair Internet Explorer? Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs|scroll to Microsoft Internet Explorer|highlight|click Add/Remove|check the box Repair IE|click OK.

Though neither the article Jim pointed you to, or the one I have included specifically list these as fixes for IE6, they do in fact work in IE6. I had a similar problem with IE6 on my WinXp system and was able to correct it by following this steps.
